People view American products as a sign of wealth and prosperity. Companies like Apple, Coca-Cola, Nike, McDonald's, and Microsoft can be found throughout the world as people try to identify with American customs and culture.
What positive and negative impacts do these products/corporations have? How could they alter local culture?

Whenever the local people willingly accept American products, the postivie effects can be found throughout the culture. People now can feel as if they are a part of American culture and expansion. However, some parts of the local culture can be damaged or even destoryed by the expansion of American products.

America has long been considered a world power. Westernized Countires like the United States, Great Britain, France, Germany, China, Russia, and Japan have always been ahead in the global marketing category.
What role do other countires play in cultural globalization? How do other countires contribute to American culture?

Other countires not only recieve the expansion of American products, they also contribute to global compeition in marketing. The American market is shaoed by the economies and markets of other countries. Every single country shares, adapts, or rejects ideas, products, or cultures of other countries.
Do you feel uncomfortable or threatened by foreign products? Why or why not? Do you think other Americans are? Why or why not?

I personally do not feel threatened by foreign products. I believe that the government has done a suffecient job at regulating what products come into the country. Other Americans however, may feel threatened by foreign products. They feel that if the product was not made in the United States, the product should not be used.
